In a somewhat surprising Sunday morning Twitter post, WKU junior linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe announced that he will be forgoing his senior year on the Hill and is declaring for the 2018 NFL Draft.

The 6'1, 230 pound linebacker from Bowling Green recorded 117 tackles, 11.5 for loss, and 2 sacks his junior season and was a team captain on defense for the Tops. He was a vital player for WKU’s defense and will be hard to replace. It always stinks seeing a player leave early but Iyiegbuniwe definitely has pro-potential and will be a great addition to any NFL roster. We’re looking forward to following yet another #ProTops player in the NFL and wish him the best moving forward!

What do you think about his decision? Where do you see him getting drafted? Let us know in the comments or on our Twitter, Facebook, and brand new forum site!
