When it comes to any online game, errors are bound to be present. Some are ambiguous, whereas others, like those in Destiny 2, are clear-cut. Like a light code on a mid-2000s Dell, if there’s an error with Destiny 2, you’ll get a code that will help you decipher it. Here’s how to fix Error Code: CAT.

What is Error Code: CAT in Destiny 2?

Error Code: CAT occurs when you try to launch Destiny 2 and haven’t installed the latest update. Typically, Bungie will roll out updates on Tuesdays when they do their regular weekly maintenance.

Since Destiny 2 is on a wide variety of platforms, let’s break it down by each to get you back up and running.
