A Recent “Q-Drop” On 8Kun Telling Followers To Drop Any Reference To Q When Attempting To Recruit New Members.

In the months since March, the Internet-based cult QAnon has amassed an incredible amount of attention. The reasons for its rapid spread and how to possibly curb its expansion are best explained by Cult Expert Steven Hassan in this article from NBC News.

Because of this new attention, followers of the cult have begun attempting to hide their “power-levels”, a term which originated in the Anime Dragonball Z but has since been adopted by subversive internet groups to reference hiding their devotion to causes such as White Supremacy. One example of this was the #SaveTheChildren marches in Mid-August, which were put together by QAnon Activists.

In the month since those marches, members of the QAnon cult have begun hiding their references to Q, making them less visible and attracting new members who may have been turned of by the more radical elements of the cult. This culminated on September 17th when Q put out the message via 8Kun for all of their followers to drop Q imagery and references in public-facing posts.
