Welcome!

Selling things online can be a fun and rewarding hobby, a part time gig, even a full time career. The greatest beauty is that selling online is totally scalable and flexible in ways nothing else is.

If you read my test driving ecommerce article and followed the Marie Kondo method, you sold some stuff from around the house. Stuff you probably don’t even miss. Just as exciting, you have put a few bucks in the bank. Doesn’t that feel good!

This article assumes you have sold a few items online and want to dig deeper.

A big hurdle is regularly finding stuff to sell. Sooner or later you will run out of things from around the house.

What to buy

Before hitting the stores, it’s important to decide what to shop for. You are investing time, effort, and money, you want a good return on that investment.

You are turning money into inventory to turn into more money. That’s the whole game.

It helps to focus on one or two categories you know something about. You don’t even have to be a collector to make that work. You don’t have to be America’s number one expert.

What do you enjoy, what hobby do or did you have at some point in your life? What charges your batteries?
