Last night, I enthusiastically listened to an enraged Nabil Boukili — of the Belgian Workers Party — address Idit Rosenzweig Abu, the Israeli Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg. My heart and soul were elated as his words of 22 October 2024 washed over me —

Quel culot de venir ici? Et de défendre ce que votre armée coloniale est en train de faire au peuple palestinien et au peuple libanais. / What audacity to come here and defend what your colonial military is in the process of doing to the Palestinian and Lebanese people!

Over nearly five minutes, I found myself cheering his courage to say what millions of us across the globe have been clamoring for: an unconditional end to the occupation, a complete cessation of the atrocities against our Palestinian sisters and brothers!

Speaking in French, the Moroccan Belgian MP castigated the Ambassador with questions like these:
