Do you know what the worst thing is that you can do to your dreams?
It is setting them aside hoping for a better time to chase them.
Most of us give many excuses to ourselves when it comes to taking that daring step to leave everything behind and go all in on chasing our dreams. You might say you don’t have enough time, you don’t have enough resources, you don’t have enough energy, and you don’t have enough money.
And you wait.
You wait for a better time.
You wait for a point in your future when you will have all these things in your hand.
But the truth is that such a day will never come.
Once you get enough money, you won’t have enough time. Once you get enough intellectual resources, you might not have enough energy or health.
There will never be a time when you will have everything you need, as abundantly as you need them.
So what do you really need to get started?
The answer is simple, you just need three things:
- Courage
- Confidence
- Commitment
Then you will have to take that ‘salto mortale’, or that daring jump into the void.
You might think that this isn’t a good time and you might hope for a better point in your future. But trust me. There isn’t anything wrong with the present. It is the best time to start chasing your dreams. What has to change is the perception of how you see it.
So, change it.
A better time won’t just come out of the blue. You make your it better or worse based on what you do with it. There is absolutely no point in waiting for a better time, go out and act to make it better.
There is no other way, no one will ever come to you and magically transform your life, nor will it get transformed overnight. You can’t hope for anything better unless you are ready to do what needs to be done.
Remember, you just have one life and the time that has passed (and is still passing) will never come back.
So don’t wait for a better time, change your perspective and take that daring first step towards your dreams.
