This is the 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal model which costs about $250 when it’s available.

The EVO SP 3-Axis Gimbal for Smartphones is made to get the perfect moving shot on your smartphone. You can walk, run, skip, pan, and your device stays stable. This product is very popular because it is compact, and easy to work with, which shows by it being sold out on the EVO website!

A Few Glitches Along the Way

There is not much to it, just add the fully charged batteries to the bottom of the Gimbal, and turn it on. As stabilizing it can be tedious work, make sure the phone is balanced completely before starting your filming to get the smoothest transitions. There were a few times it would be panning as we were filming and then would just fall down, almost as if the phone was too heavy or it glitched and gave out for a second.. That could have been our fault, but it happened numerous times.

The User Experience and a Comparison

For the most part the Evo SP 3-axis Gimbal was easy to use,but it took some practice to get it down. We ran with it and the video stayed clear and stable. The videos we made came out very smooth with each pan and transition. All in all, we would recommend using this gimbal for professional, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing videos being filmed on a smartphone. Check out how a phone with Gimbal compared to a Canon Rebel camera used for video.
