Bob Menendez (sometimes called Robert Menendez) has a rival soon to take his place. Representative Andy Kim has just announced that he will be against Senator Bob Menendez. This is surely not the first opponent that Bob Menendez will see in the race. Andy Kim is a representative of New Jersey and is representing the Third Congressional District of New Jersey, and he might actually have a shot at keeping Bob Menendez out of office.

First, we must review why this is the case. Yesterday, the District Court in New Jersey just charged Bob Menendez with his second corruption charge in 10 years. Menendez has been caught on a charge concerning bribery, and apparently, he had been taking money from Egyptian officials. The charge does not exactly accuse Bob Menendez of working directly with Egypt, but it suspects that Menendez might have been working with the Arab Republic of Egypt.

It is most notable to say that there was key evidence in this case, including the finding of $480,000 in bribery funds. There were also gold bullions and complete gold bars that were well over $1,000. It is hard to say if Bob Menendez might get off this charge, but we do not think that hard evidence is hard to go against. Menendez has been asked by prosecutors to hand over assets, such as his New Jersey house, and over $500,000 in funds.
