My top 20 in albums, live shows, and musicals
Happy Chrismukkah 2024, and welcome to my third year-end recap of my faves in pop culture! (My TV and book ones are here and here.) As I did last year, I include concerts and music-related films in addition to the usual album releases. But unlike last year, none of the live shows I went to were candlelit ones in a church or air and space museum. As you’ll see, this year, I’ve branched out to other venues, such as medical campuses. Fun and educational!

4) Joker: Folie a Deux
Enjoyed this despite almost everyone else giving this a huge thumbs down. It helps if you have the profile of the following viewer: never got around to watching the first one, thus not having any preconceived notions, being a fan of old-timey Burt Bacharach songs and suchlike, and predisposed to liking any movie that features Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga singing.
