Dissecting Metal Fans Antagonism Against Deathcore

First, metal fans criticized glam metal because bands wore makeup and used pop hooks. Also, metal buffs condemned nu-metal for its fakeness and hip-hop influences. Metalheads tore those subgenres apart until they accepted them.

They realized the fun and energy of glam and nu-metal, so why dislike them?

Being the case, how long until metal fans accept DeathcoreDeathcore?

It’ll take some time.

Deathcore emerged in the early 2000s with bands like Embodyment and The Red Chord. Throughout the decade, bands Suicide Silence and Carnifex gained popularity. Suicide Silence is the most successful, with their 2011 album The Black Crown earning number 28 on the Billboard 200.

Deathcore has the thrill of glam and nu-metal, but accepting its genre meshing will take time. In addition, Deathcore has elements that need to evolve. Experimenting will help it grow in favor of metalheads and non-metal…
