I Saw U2 at the Sphere and It Was the Best Night of My Life
What can top this experience?
“Sometimes it takes a grand madness to have the vision [to build] a place that we’ve never experienced before.” -Bono, discussing U2’s residency at The Sphere

I’ve been wriggling in my chair for almost two hours, eagerness growing with every passing minute.
The stage is still empty. I can hear someone nearby almost whispering, “Come on Bono, come on out now,” not with impatience, but eagerly and telepathically willing the band onto the stage so that the show can begin. I smile. Fellow fans of any art form are automatically kindred spirits, and I know that this hopeful gentleman is one of mine.
Around us, a concrete facade envelopes the room, giving the sensation of being pressed in close — almost claustrophobic — but intentional. Artful. The steepness and height of the stands are disorienting at first, but I acclimate. My husband and I chuckle as passing concertgoers complain that there should have been a fitness test before being allowed to purchase tickets. They huff and puff past us toward their seats.
