If you are a fan of Blue-eyed Soul you may already know Paul Carrack.

This article grew out of research I was doing for The Wall — Live in Berlin, the phenomenal concert Roger Waters put on in Berlin eight months after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Apart from seeing many musicians perform that I loved, I was introduced to others whose music I didn’t know. One of these was Paul Carrack, the man that the BBC would come to dub “The Man with the Golden Voice”.[1]
Paul Carrack is a singer, songwriter, musician, and composer who was born in Sheffield, England, in 1951. The music publication Record Collector suggests we should know his name. In a 2008 article, they wrote…
“If vocal talent equalled financial success, Paul Carrack would be a bigger name than legends such as Phil Collins or Elton John.”[2]
