If you dig deep enough, you’ll find genres unsuitable to the ears and for acquired tastes. Of course, plenty of music genres bend typical structures, yet these genres take it to another degree.

Many of the said genres add aggressive sounds, say death metal spliced with the energy of dubstep.

These genres test if you are indeed a music lover.

Let’s put it to the test for this list. I’ll begin light and work my way to the more high-tempo and experimental genres throughout the listing.

1. Deathdream

Deathdream embodies the depression and lethargy of death by meshing dark vaporwave and ambient.

Unfortunately, the genre slowly disappeared since its rise in 2015.

Deathdream asked to fade away. As the genre states, it’s a dream. No one must remember this music exists.
