A quick bit of the usual light housekeeping before we get started:
As they work to improve the platform, Medium is again rolling out some large changes. I encourage you to take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with them. You can do so here.
Some of the changes include:
- Removing the 100 followers threshold for your work to earn money.
- Adding a requirement to be a member of Medium to participate in the MPP (current writers in the MPP will be exempt).
- Sunsetting the referral bonus program.
Medium now automatically adds your bio to the footer of your work. If you haven’t done so recently, now is a good time to refresh it — this is especially true if you have an off-platform property (newsletter, record, etc.) that you’d like to drive traffic to.
