Hard rock has become a pivotal force in today’s rock scene. We have bands such as Chevelle, Avenged Sevenfold, and Breaking Benjamin, who dominate the mainstream rock market with every new album.

One band from Canada had the makings for stardom, but an accident took it away, and the band couldn’t seem to recover. In their efforts, they released an album and gained a cult following.

So, where’d they go?

Fahrenheit

In 2003, Hail the Villain began in Ontario, Canada, as Fahrenheit. The band comprises Joseph Stamp (guitar), Chad Richardson (bass), Flavio Cirillo (drums), and Bryan Crouch (vocals). The quartet then pursued rock stardom by performing at shows until labels paid attention.

The band didn’t get recognized until 2008 when they self-issued their debut album under a new name, Hail the Villain. In 2009, they signed to Roadrunner Records (a subsidiary of Warner Music Group) and re-released their debut Population: Declining on June 8, 2010.
