Meet the leader of the industry. Indeed is THE most popular job posting website in the world! The closest competitors are almost ten times smaller (if we count by monthly visits).

Indeed allows you to post jobs for free, but the terms and the way to do it may change over time.

Google is the most popular search engine in the world. It has also become one of the best free job posting sites for employers.

Google displays your jobs for free, and it doesn’t even have advertising options for jobs. But there is a catch. It is not that easy to post a job on Google. Here is why:

Google does not provide you with a form to post your jobs.

Instead, it just indexes your jobs similarly to how it indexes all other pages on the Web. And it’s not enough to have your jobs as pages on your website. Also, you need to provide them with a special code called “ JobPosting structured data “.

Sound complicated, right? But this shouldn’t scare you away. Google is one of the best places to post jobs out there!

Good: LinkedIn does allow you to post a job for free online. 🙂

Bad: It lets you have only one LinkedIn free job post at a time. 🙁

If you want to have more than one job posted, you need to go with the “Promoted” option and allocate a budget to advertise your jobs.

LinkedIn uses a pay-per-click model, so you pay not for posting a job but actually for applicants you get for the job.

On Upwork, you don’t hire employees. You hire freelancers. You define a task, set the budget, and post a job for free online on Upwork. Then freelancers respond to your job. You can check their portfolio — the jobs they’ve already done on Upwork, their ratings, and the reviews from other employers. So you select the one(s) you liked the most.

Your job can have a fixed budget (e.g., $50 total). Or the job can be ongoing, so you pay a freelancer an hourly rate (e.g., $50 per hour).
