Barcelona Diary #14 — Southside Six Route
17 Miles — Long Run
Remember that cool gym session from Friday? Well, it was very present this morning at the moment I had to start running.
My hamstrings were remembering me about those deadlifts over and over again, from start to finish, and that not exactly what you need when the plan for the day is to run 17 miles. Additionally to this, Kieran, who came prepared with a route, decided to take us all into a hilly adventure following the infamous Southside Six route; one that is not particularly regarded as ‘easy’ or ‘smooth’.
The good part was that I was surrounded by great people that helped me push through it, otherwise I’m not sure I would have been able to cope with the entire distance by myself, or probably would still going around trying to get back home.
