Let’s just forget about last Sunday’s run. Please.

I thought I was having bad days during the last couple of weeks, but Sunday was definitely the cherry of the ice cream.

From falling from the bike on my way to the Red Bridge, icy roads that gave us the slowest 10 miles in human history, to the collective agreement that fun was completely absent that day. However, we knew we had to keep going, get this run out the way and just forget about it.

We are currently holding to a pattern of good run, bad run alternating each week. This was the bad the week.

There’s no much to add to this day. It was not fun, it was not enjoyable, and it was exhausting, conditions were not in place and each one of us though about quitting at least three times during the first half of the session, but we didn’t. We decided to stick to it not only because we had to, but because we decided to.

We had moments of brightness, followed by absolute misery for few more miles, but one foot after the other we finally found our way during the second half. Decent pace, mind in place, we manage to get back in one piece.

Time was limited, so as the guys needed to depart because personal commitments I decided to finish up doing several loops around the green, and then around the my building, and few more in front on my door; all of this at the slowest pace I can remember. You know that pace that if someone that doesn’t know you, sees you, they would never think you are runner? That one!

A day to forget.

Actually, what we were talking about anyways?
