I’m ready

We started fast, we finished even faster. That’s exactly how it was today.

Two weeks to go before the big day and the last long runs have been incredibly well, making me feel ready and realising that all the pieces are finally coming together after all the months of training.

As we started the taper the very long Sunday runs are now something from the past, and we are now gradually decreasing it until race day.

Today as meant to be an easy 16–18 miler that ended been a steady, fast and negative splits run, and I’m delighted with it. I felt comfortable all the way since the beginning and gave all until the end, pushing it really hard the last 9 kilometres like if I was actually racing, or as I said afterwards, letting know to my brain who is in charge.
