Copenhagen Diary #18
Pack your bags, we are going to Copenhagen!
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, pack your bags because this crew is marathon ready and we are going to Copenhagen!
THIS-IS-IT. Our last session before the big day and 15 weeks of training completed. After all the ups and downs, cold days, hard days and horrible days, race day is around the corner and we are not only starting to get excited, we are looking forward to it!
As this year started with one goal in mind, to just have fun and enjoy running, I’m holding true to it and getting no expectations. Yes, I would like to beat my last year’s personal best (PB) but and I’m not that fuzzy about it, so I’m not putting pressure on it, as long as I’m not slower everything is fine, even if it’s a minute or a few.
As Kirstie said to me today: “it’s just another Sunday long run that we try to run faster”. Pure wisdom right there.
Our job is done, now it’s time for the party, have fun along the way and enjoy every step of the ride. See you at the finish line ;)
