Why Spring ’23 is the Best Time to Take Your Power Back Pt. 4: Jupiter Sun Cazimi in Aries
If you’re anything like me, narcissistic relationships and programming has smeared its greasy residue all over every area of your life. But with time, and a descent into the dark night of the soul, you’re now the most aware you’ve ever been. You’ve been doing the work — because the work is never truly done. You’ve gone into hermit mode and tended to your wounds. Now it’s time to lighten up. The sun is here and it’s offering you the most cheerful outlook on everything that’s been in your way.
On April 11th, the Sun conjoins with Jupiter in the sign of Aries. The sun is exalted in Aries and Jupiter is considered the most benevolent planet in the cosmos. When these two luminaries come into close contact, it’s like they are having a very insightful and resourceful conversation. About what you ask? Well, they are seated in the temple of Aries, so they will discuss topics of Mars. Mars rules Aries. Jupiter says, “I want to offer good luck, wisdom, and expansion to everything being initiated.” The Sun says, “Ok, I’ll light the way; but make sure you’re wearing good running shoes because we’re going fast.”
Another beautiful aspect of this conjunction is that Jupiter is ending his synodic cycle. He’s basically dying and will be reborn once he leaves Aries and transits into Taurus. This happens every year, but each year the sign of Jupiter’s death will be different. Last year, he took a final breath in Pisces and then glided into Aries. So what part of you do you need to lay to rest, shed, or transform?
What areas of your healing need action? It could be starting a new healthcare regimen that includes physical activity. Perhaps making a schedule of action items after your regular sessions with a therapist would do you some good. If you’re waiting for someone else to make the first move, this is your queue to extend an offer, invite, olive branch, set boundaries, or whatever. Jupiter/Sun conjunctions have the care of guardian angels. You’re divinely protected under this transit.
As far as taking your power back, this transit offers you something else that’s very special. It kisses Chiron. Chiron is an asteroid that rules our wounding that creates weaknesses, blind spots, and toxic behavioral patterns. He is also transiting Aries. So whatever fears you’ve had around addressing core wounds, Jupiter and the sign offer illumination, warmth, and understanding.
This cazimi gives us a preview of the next phase of eclipses in Aries and Libra. So Venus and Mars are at the seat of taking your power back. Eclipses wipe away debris. If there's anything narcs do well, it’s leave a whole film of unsettled dust when they finally discard their supply. Spring 2023 is the time to take your power back. Make use of this collective shift.
