Apology for the trouble at SHIBUYA LAND Sale

The Sandbox has discovered that some premium land sales during the SHIBUYA LAND sale held on April 7 at 1:00 p.m. (UTC) were not settled correctly, resulting in the sale ending without payment.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to The Sandbox users and are taking steps to correct the issue.

[Incidents]
1) During the SHIBUYA LAND sale, customers who did not have a sufficient
amount of SAND (4,683 SAND) in their wallets to purchase Premium LAND could still reserve Premium LAND, but their purchases were not approved at the final settlement stage. We have now identified a system error that prevented the
purchase of the targeted LAND.
2) To ensure user convenience and safety, The Sandbox continues to implement system modifications, including new security measures, every time it conducts a LAND sale. However, in this case, a part of the system modification was faulty, resulting in a user being able to book a LAND even without having enough SAND toperform the payment.

[Countermeasures]
As a countermeasure, we have made modifications to the part of the system that caused the issue.
In the future, we will promptly disclose any technical failures and work to ensure that this does not happen again.
To give users a second chance to make a purchase, we will resume sales of
unsettled Premium LAND for a period of 7 days at a later date. We will announce the scheduled date of sale through our social networks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We will continue to work hard to meet the expectations of our users as we consider various development and content plans for the launch of The Sandbox.
