iPhone SE — Day One

apple package is always excellent.

Gosh dang it man. even this budget iPhone is still so awesome. Apple knows how to make phones.

So, the courier guy just arrived. I traded in my previous phone, iPhone XS Max. turns out that my phone is in good shape, both physically and electronically, and i got its full value.

You can read more about my previous phone’s stories, in this series.

So, here we go.

Goodbye iPhone XS Max

ah! my best tech friend of more than 3 years.

Goodbye old friend. Perhaps, you might be resold to someone else. Or else, send to the recycling station. Either way, you were with me through thick and thin.

For that, I thank you.

“I didn’t know how to say goodbye. Words were stupid. They said so little. Yet they opened up holes you could fall into and never climb out of again” — Ann Rinaldi

Setting Up New iPhone

the iPad knows that there is a new iPhone waiting to be setup.

This is one of those things that always make me happy. Setting up a new iPhone, especially if you have other apple mobile devices, is surprisingly easy.

In my case, the iPad knows that the SE is nearby. After that, a simple scan later, the entire phone is configured with Apple ID, wifi settings and apps and all that. super easy. super neat.

Small Size. Like Really Small

its so small. That’s what she said.

Coming from the XS Max, this phone is super tiny. Everything here is bare bones. The display is just a little less colorful and duller. There is no tap to wake or face ID. The camera is super basic. Everything, I will eventually get used to it.

I played a few of my favorite tracks, and watched a movie trailer. The sound and video is as clear as it can get. The touch ID does not bother me.

All said and done, happy to have a newer iPhone for the first time in 3 years. And, the surprisingly smooth trade-in was a godsend. Thank you.
