Dear Tamizh and Non-Tamizh friends of mine,

If you are looking out to cut down your boring routine and take some time out for yourself and your family, a film is the befitting choice to go for. If you ask me why, I would like to give you a straightforward answer — Big Screen is magical and every character on the other side of the screen reflects you and your known circle.

PS: Big screen is magical. Courtesy goes to Karthik Baskar (Assistant Director of Meesaya Murukku movie), as he keeps telling me.

You may ask why did I even mention “Non-Tamizh” friends here!

a. I believe that art has no language barrier.

b. I also want them to know why Tamizh is a sweet and the most respected language.

Ohho! Did I leak something out here? But, it’s ok. When anyone says it is a ‘Hip-Hop Tamizha’ movie, how can one not expect the shades of Tamil being appreciated or talked about. Alongside that, this movie will be an energy booster to all the youngsters, who are waiting for their break to reach the success peak.

Also, it is no more “All is well”. It is this dialogue that captured everyone’s heart and is trending everywhere down south — “Thothalum Jeychalum Meesaya Murrukku.”

Few people may call this statement a gender biased gesture. But, no dude. As a woman, I strongly feel this addresses to me too.

Well, I don’t have a mush, but every single woman who feels confident about her and her passion is another “Subramanya Bharathi” and she can twirl her so called imaginary mush to move forward in her life.

Hey, if you have or haven’t watched this movie yet, these reasons will definitely ring a bell in your heads. Check out the #MeesayaMurukkuSpree right here.

1. If you are a Proud Tamizhan/Tamizhachi

If you are a Proud Tamizhan/Tamizhachi, who has been eagerly waiting to hear some wonderful things about Tamizh as a language and wanted to tell people that English doesn’t determine the knowledge of a person and please don’t try to impose any other language on us, because we respect you and we expect the same from you, you are on the right screen then. The movie had this wonderful scene where Actor Vivekh says “English Pesinalum Tamizhan Da”, the entire sequence brings out the rage of every single Tamizh people out in front of us. Well, you might even shed few drops of tears without glycerine. Don’t shy, but cry.

2. Passion is the Key to Success

Every human being is very passionate about something. Stats say, only 15% of them get to succeed, while the rest give up for a better living.

At the end of the day, we cheat ourselves by pacifying with the money we make out from our work life. No one is blamed here. But, this movie is an eye opener for all those passionate souls. The movie fuels their passion fire and will extend their period of fight to achieve more. Be it Adhi’s decision to not give up on music or his persistent effort to get chance, both will help youngsters relate to their situation.

All you have to remember is, “Thotha jeykanum nu mattum dan thonanum but Avamanapatta Sadhikanum nu verivarum da.”

3. Family and Friends are the strongest Support

Every parent wants their children to be happy and none of them want to hurt their feelings. This is clearly conveyed in the movie. Adhi’s father did not stop him from pursuing his dreams, but he wanted him to be happy forever. Our parents are not exposed to the virtual world that creates a pathway to success. Yet, Adhi’s father and mother take turns to help him in a way or the other.

On the other side, his friends support him in all possible ways, including his college seniors who fought with him. A moral support from friends mean the world and he gets it all. This movie gives a glimpse of everything about family and friends.

4. Behind every success there is a broken heart

Yeah, right? It is ideally broken hearts though. Sometimes your life tests you with too many options where you will have to choose one among the many. It doesn’t mean you don’t like the other options, it is about your happiness and priority.

Adhi chooses his career, while Nila chooses to marry. At the end, priority differs and as a result heart breaks. Though it is extremely hurtful move on, because your life has a lot of surprises and good things in store for you. If you have recently faced a bad heart break because of your passion, don’t succumb to it, but do come out to watch this movie. This will definitely be a soulful medicine to your heart’s fissure.

5. College life is entirely different from the Real world

Another beautiful message that Adhi tries to convey in this movie. What may seem big in our college life, doesn’t even matter once we step outside the campus. That’s true. We all fall into trauma or depression after getting to know the real face of the outside world, where we strive to establish ourselves. The movie clearly charts out the difference, when his senior who was so bold and free-spirited gets trapped in a field of no interest due to financial burden and that makes Adhi think the cold and brutal world. Yet, he tries not to give up. To feel that inspirational element and reality, you should watch this movie.

6. The visual Beauty of Vaadi Pulla Vaadi

We have already seen and heard this song like 1000 times, yet people will remain teary when this song is played. Not to mention that the movie has amazing songs and background scores. This song is something special as it turns out to be the most important decisions taken by two people and how it differs. When the bride (Adhi’s girlfriend) holds another guy’s hands and Adhi begins to open his wings of fame, it will hit everyone hard. Personally, it made me change my perspective of life. It made me think more about my passion, instead of carrying other’s first name and identity behind my name.

7. Epitome of Inspiration

If you are a die-hard Adhi fan, this movie will give you goose bumps. If you aren’t his fan, this movie will definitely make you love and respect him. Also, if you want to take lumpsum inspirational quotient from him, this movie has plethora of it. You would never regret to have come to this movie, even once.

8. Smallest Chance can change your life

When you are about to lose hope, that miracle will happen. When you make use of the smallest opportunity, you may bag a bigger one along with you. That’s how, Hip Hop Tamizha became a rage in YouTube. Messaya Murukku also gives a glimpse of the philosophy, “Never miss any opportunity that comes your way, that might be a key for you to unlock the gate to success.”

If the above 8 reasons did not convince you to watch the movie, you still can head to the nearby theatres to watch this movie. If and only if, you are so passionate and just want to take barrels and barrels of positivity, strength, determination, goodness and tonne loads of laughter and happiness along with you. Make sure, you watch this movie in theatres. As far as Non-Tamizh friends are concerned, take your Tamzih friends along with you to watch this movie. If you have a Tamizh boyfriend or a girlfriend, well and good. Kudos to the entire Meesya Murukku team for giving us a great movie and breaking the usual grammar and stereotypes of a movie.
