Despite the loss of cellphone and internet communication across hundreds of miles of Texas coastlines, Brandon Parsons has managed to reach a device to let loved ones know he is safely at home in suburban Providence.

As local fire departments and Coast Guard mobilize to assess damage and injury, Brandon let loved ones know that his is a body they won’t have to rummage for in the wreckage.

Relief efforts have begun distributing resources to affected families and homes in the area, which may have had many wondering whether Brandon would need a hand, but not since Brandon marked himself safe from the hurricane that made landfall Friday a mere 2,000 miles away.

Friends of Brandon’s along the Gulf Coast were not so lucky, many losing power and any means to find out if Brandon is okay.
