In one episode of Mad Men, Pete Campbell meets a beautiful married woman (played by Alexis Bleidel) on the train. They have a passionate affair until she, shockingly to him, calls it off. A hurt and angry Pete then expresses a sentiment all too common in adultery land.

“WHY DO THEY GET TO DECIDE?!” Pete spits.

Why do women get the power to decide whether we are worthy of their attention, affection, and sexual favors? Why do we have to chase? Why do we need to sell ourselves?

I can answer.

It’s because, at least in affairs, the numbers are skewed. There are a zillion more men than women cheating. Because guys are horny morons. Women have choices.

And many men resent that.

They seethe at the thought.

The key is to let that shit go.

Focus your attention inward.

There is a vast sea of dick to wade in. Even if they are shitty options personified by one-sentence profiles and unsolicited dick pics galore. There are still plenty of options for ladies to choose from.
