In the end
It’s all pretend
The bonds we mend
The lies we bend
The friends we friend
Means to an end
A void we rend
And wretch
And obfuscate
We contemplate
What really is real
Behind a matrix shield
Is it for another’s appeal
Or is it driven by our own zeal
Write what you will
To attract envy and chills
Yet where is the balance between
Desire and will
Between fantasy
And what’s
Really real
In truth in ourselves
And lies for others’ appeal
Can it be possible
To unite the two
The mimes that we are
And the us that we knew
Can they ever really converge
The really real two
