Communiqué, the youngest of societies in KGP, was founded to cater to KGPians — to enable them to hone their communication skills. The idea is to train people for group discussions and interviews by conducting sessions of the same. “The initial idea was to start a debating society; every good college in India has one. But there has always been this notion that KGPians are found wanting in the art of communication. That was the motivation to start this society.” says Anindya Dutta, who is presently the Convenor of the society. The society comprises the VP (TSG), a co-convenor, 3 governors, secretaries and associate members.

Communiqué is also looking forward to organize career-oriented sessions similar to the ‘Careerz’ fest held last year. Working with IMS in collaboration, there are plans to hold several workshops for CAT, GRE and GMAT aspirants. The society also plans to organize separate workshops for the first year students.

Communiqué thus represents another commendable effort by the student community in IIT Kharagpur. Kudos to the team and here’s wishing them luck for the academic year.
