Don’t think we forgot anyone! We welcome a new addition to the Social Science faculty unit- Sir Guido Nicholas San Diego.

Sir Nicholas San Diego

Young. Talented. Ready to serve.

Sir Guido is one of the many new faces in the school. He is currently teaching both grades 7 and 8 in their social science subjects, while being an adviser to the class of 7-Diamond.

“To be honest with you, this is currently my first job and I’m really glad it’s Pisay.”

Fresh out of University of Santo Tomas, Sir Guido comments that finding your first job really can be a difficulty, but he’s glad he took the opportunity to teach the best in Pisay.

“So far, what I can say about the culture is that it seems like everyone is just too grade conscious” he laughingly commented.

Sir Guido believes that grades play an important part to education, but the ultimate goal of learning for him is to have the richest experience where you can have fun and let yourself grow naturally. “I chose to teach because having a background in education studies, I know how vital it is to grow properly in a students’ education.”

But apart from his lectures on history and Philippine heritage, Sir Guido is a man of many talents. He’s learned both the violin and the guitar, and aside from instruments he loves sketching with varying styles on the side.

“I don’t really find a specific interesting fact about me. I suppose that I like to focus on others more than myself. My mindset is more interpersonal than intrapersonal” he commented

For Sir Guido, service and putting others first is the core value that he is guided by. He feels that whenever anyone does something, it’s actually never just for themselves. He believes that no one is an island and that we are all interconnected.

“It is best to associate yourself and connect with others, we are all trying to help one another” he finished.

It’s been a few months for Sir Guido as a teacher in Pisay, but so far he’s enjoying his stay and happy with his students, looking forward he hopes to gain the richest experience he can with Pisay.
