The Scoop is a new publication dishing fresh takes on the growing sport of bike polo. We will publish bi-weekly articles covering a wide array of topics. Our mission is to educate, entertain and inform bike polo players, enthusiasts and the bike polo curious.

What is bike polo?

Bike polo is a mixed-gender contact sport played on a hard surface, such as a tennis court or hardcourt hockey court. Bike polo is played with teams of three who create offensive passing plays to attempt to shoot the ball into the opponent’s goal to score points. The opposing team works to defend their goal and gain possession of the ball. Each player uses a mallet to control and shoot the ball all while riding a bicycle to move around the court. Traditional games last 10–15 mins with three players. Squad style games last 30–60 minutes and require a team to have 5–6 players with only three on the court at a time.
