Next: Google’s Consumer Barometer, a global, multi-method, multi-partner survey driven data set, gives you both a graph building tool that allows you to slice the data by dozens of questions and filters as well as curated audience and behavioral studies based on things like generation, life-stage, and content consumption patterns. All of the data and graphs are easily downloadable and embeddable, and they also happen to look great. Spend 15 minutes getting to know the tools and the data and then wow your colleagues and clients with beautiful new answers to their questions.

If you’ve spent more than 2 minutes online in the past couple of months, you’ve heard the term “chatbot”. Fortunately, with a name like “chatbot” you can probably guess what it is. What about “Ad-injection”? Hmmm… also descriptive, but not enough. So you Google it, which is where things get messy. Wikipedia gives you scientific definitions that often themselves need interpretation. Industry blogs give you 3,000 word descriptions that meander through a definition mixed with opinion. Sometimes you just want to know what a chatbot is without having to carve out 2 hours. Thankfully, Digiday’s “WTF” and Ad Age’s “Explain it Like I’m Eight” series’ aim to give readers quick, no-frills, pedestrian definitions of emerging industry and behavioral terms.
