Keeping tabs on the emerging companies in your industry can be somewhat of a daunting task — especially when you’re trying to keep tabs on early-stage start-ups. One of the places making this easier is AngelList which, if you’re not familiar, is part syndicated investment platform, part start-up job board. Here you can browse dozens of markets where you can see and sort companies by the interest they’re garnering from investors and potential investors, how much funding they’ve raised, and even get to know the company and its founders.

There’s no question Artificial Intelligence will have a profound impact on Talent Acquisition in the near future. Two start-ups taking different approaches are Talera and Mya. Talera lets you identify your ideal candidate and then mines your colleagues social networks for people that look like your ideal candidate — all done through a slick, chat like interface. Mya is more focused on answering questions employers may have of candidates, or that candidates have of potential employers. Mya, created by First Job, lets employers ask candidates pre-screen questions, or assessment questions but also lets candidates ask for the status of their application, or questions about the interview and hiring process. Both represent opportunities to establish more personal relationships with candidates, at scale, while simultaneously affording Talent Acquisition teams more time to spend getting to know the best candidates rather than trying to identify them.
