Coming out in a new world

You’ve probably never heard of us. I bet you don’t even know what SDF Means and that’s the way we’ve wanted it for Centuries.

But it’s time for A major change. Secret organizations like ours have been getting a lot of negative press lately. They’ve been forced to Come out of their secrecy. And if the Secret Turtle Lovers Society is anything of an example … well let’s just say we don’t want the same thing to happen to us.

But we’re not like them! Even though we don’t have the word ‘love’ or the name of a cute Reptile or aquatic animal like baby otters in our name, we don’t stand for what they did.

And we have to give them a little bit of a break. They’ve been doing good things for a while and then one bad leader and your secret organization is Smeared all over the Internet.

And who doesn’t remember the Barnacle Beard Enclave’s coming out party that was worse than bad press. Nobody even paid attention. If we weren’t A secret organization ourselves considering doing what they did, we wouldn’t have either. What good do they bring to the world? None! One could argue that their outdated imperialist dogma perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

But we want you to know that that is just not us. We’ve been working for centuries behind the scenes to improve the world with the most powerful tool that man has ever known … the pen.

We’ve been told it’s more powerful than a sword, but then again we may have something to do with the creation and distribution of that particular phrase.

In any case, the written word has great power to improve the world and we’ve dedicated ourselves to writing a lot of them in the service of our fellow human beings.

How powerful is that! And that was written more than 2,000 years ago (and as much as we’d like to say he was a part of SDF, there’s no way to be sure that it even existed back then thanks to the fire of 382 AD).

But do you see how needed and important that one line is still thousands of years later. How fundamental, how ubiquitous to the human experience is that wisdom.

If everyone Facebook & Twitter would follow those words, it would change the whole world. One line could change the whole world. That’s the power we’ve been working with for centuries to make our species a better one.
