If you are what you eat, then you are most certainly what you read.

The information you digest can be even more important than the food you consume!

Many years ago, I attended a business seminar. The speaker told us, “In five years from now, you may find yourself in the same position except for two things: will the people you associate with and the books you read.” Five years later, I continued buying new books and attending quarterly seminars. I was still in the same business and surprisingly not any richer. Some people I knew from the same business had made it, but it never worked for me, so I quit.

The one thing that I took from it was the aspect of personal development. I may have not been richer financially but have continued to read on!

They say, “show me your friends and I will show you yourself.” Good books are just like good friends — they make you who you are and do so much more. They…

- Motivate

- Inspire

- Help you forgive

- Teach you to love

- Teach you to believe in yourself

- Teach you resilience

- Help you understand both yourself and others

- Allow you to become a better version of yourself

When I look back, there’s no way I could have faced life’s trials and tribulations without the help of my so-called “friends.” So, when you feel you have nowhere to turn, take a breath and turn pages instead.
