Bringing back the spot for vibrant and fun community engagement, GATHER returned to Oak Park with the best in live music, artisanal food, and all around good vibes. We were also delighted to introduce you to the new GATHER: Quarry Park, in Rocklin, that made its debut last month.

While always accenting the affair with the classic beauty of Oak Park, the new attractions delivered continued to blend Sacramento’s diversity to creating an everlasting community bond.

We built a space for the little ones to play called, the “Kids Carnival,” a variety of games were featured including, ring toss, hula-hoop and tic-tac-toe, along with an art lab curated in collaboration with Sol Collective.

“We wanted to find something for kids because we noticed the high volume of families in the community,” says Unseen Heroes Co-Founder Maritza Davis. She was inspired by the enjoyment parents get when their kids are having just as much fun as the adults.

Grownups also experienced new attractions with the chance to try a very special sparkling wine experience: the Moscato Blanco by Noceto Frivolo, exclusively being sold at GATHER. These light and bubbly pocket-sized refreshers offer the perfect thirst quencher for warm summer nights. We will be serving bottles of this delicious wine throughout the event’s season but your only chance to snag the exclusive cans, will be at GATHER until October.

Old favorites were still in attendance like cocktails provided by Burly Beverages, and brews curated by Beers in Sac. We even rolled out a new token system for alcohol consumption.

For new mouth-watering must-tries GATHER Oak Park brought in Louisiana Heaven, giving us their take on Creole Cajun perfection, along with KnifeLyfe Catering whose style is heavily influenced by Mexican Cuisine with international fusions. Attendees also got the chance to taste Cosa Nostra Burgers that offer an authentic Argentinian spin on burgers and sausages at both GATHER locations.

As for the music, we’re beyond excited to be in collaboration with Sol Collective who has been curating the GATHER performers and bringing global local vibes. “We’re hoping to introduce the GATHER audience to new sounds as well as bring back the local favorites! It’s going to be a lively summer gathering, every month!” says Sol Collective Director Estella Sanchez. More info on the musicians will be released prior to event dates, so make sure to stay up to date.

With the addition of Quarry Park in Rocklin, we are looking forward to expanding this lively event. GATHER was made to get people out of their homes to meet-up in a new community space. Unseen Heroes co-founder, Roshaun Davis says it best, “The reason we developed the GATHER concept was to highlight communities coming together over food, music, and a good time.”
You can’t miss the final months of GATHER, it’s been a be fantastic season and we still have three more months. Whether you’re at Oak Park or Quarry Park–Come out, we want to meet you!
