Lunch: Typical raw salad from outside. Arugula, watermelon radish, avocado, onions, tomatoes, roasted pepper, grapefruit, etc. Garnished with olive oil, salt, and pepper. As I complained yesterday, the vegan diet has an unfair reputation, because most Western restaurants have no imagination whatsoever when it comes to vegetables.

Typical raw crap even cows won’t have the dignity to eat.

Between lunch and dinner: Finished some salted, roasted, mixed nuts leftover from yesterday. A piece of 90% dark chocolate.

Weightlifting: Slowly working back up to my previous maximum at squats. Shoulder press at a new maximum — hooray!

Dinner: Zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms, Chinese eggplants, okra, red onions, ginger, garlic, cilantro, coconut milk, Thai green chillies, salt, olive oil, white rice. Cooked by my awesome roommate Avinash Chan. (Please follow him to make sure that he finally starts blogging about his cooking.) Now this is some real vegan food!

Finally — some imagination and taste! Delicious!

Commentary: I felt good today. Not tired or irritated. Got a lot of work done.

Good news, everyone!
