YouTube Revenue Report 4

This previous month was interesting because there were more than a handful of reports about revenue dropping platform-wide for YouTubers… and it doesn’t appear that I was an exception to that.

YouTube even publicly shared how the “fluctuations” were imminent on their public forum:

If you’re seeing fluctuations in your revenue over the next few weeks, it may be because we’re fine tuning our ads systems to address these concerns. While this can be unsettling, we’re working as fast we can to improve our systems so that advertisers feel more confident in our platform and revenue continues to flow to creators over the long term.

Thankfully, as most of you know, I’m not doing this full-time (or even close to it) but I am having a great time learning the ins and outs of YouTube and I continue to learn every single month about the monetization side of things.

This past month (March, 2017), I saw the following at a top-level:

  1. $36.96 from YouTube
  2. $72.09 from Amazon

You can see the specifics in my public YouTube Earnings Spreadsheet. Don’t forget to review the previous months as well!

I have a few more thoughts (but not much) in my vlog today:
