You might have already encountered the makeshift AR experiences enabled on today’s smartphones, compelling trials on expensive headsets with the unsatisfactory field of view, futuristic life-with-AR short films, or the business case-study market research material. My curiosity accumulated over the years through graduate studies, work, and personal projects in the XR (VR/AR) space led me to search for a rational explanation for the aspects of Augmented Reality that personally matter to me.
