National Children’s Dental Health Month in February.
To help kick-off National Children’s Dental Health Month, Burlington County College’s dental hygiene students and instructors, as well as volunteer local health care professionals, will provide free preventive and emergency dental care to children ages 12 and under on “Give Kids a Smile!” day, on Friday, Feb. 1.
The one-day program is part of the American Dental Association’s (ADA) annual push to bring attention to the number one childhood disease, tooth decay.
BCC has consistently performed among the top contributors on the state. Since 2005, BCC’s dental hygiene program has donated $468,912 worth of care to nearly 1,000 patients on “Give Kids a Smile!” day.
Those interested in making an appointment for their child are encouraged to call as soon as possible. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (609) 894–9311, extension 1074.
The Dental Hygiene center at BCC is located in the Parker Center building, room 318 on the Pemberton campus at 601 Pemberton Browns Mills Road.
