Give life by giving blood

Locals are invited to give life by giving blood at the upcoming blood drive set to take place at Rowan College at Burlington County in January.

The first event took place on Jan. 11, and the second event is set for Jan. 25 from 2 to 7 p.m.

Each event will be held at RCBC’s Mt. Laurel campus in Laurel Hall, Room 320.

Those interested are encouraged to make an appointment now at through the website for the Red Cross at www.redcrossblood.org.

Shamong Township held its reorganization meeting

Shamong Township held its reorganization meeting this week, where two committee members were sworn in to three-year terms.

Committeemen Sean Gray and Michael Cooney were re-elected, with the November election results totaling 2,191 votes for Gray and 2,110 votes for Cooney.

Michael Di Croce was voted mayor for a one-year term, alongside Timothy Gimbel, who was voted deputy mayor for a one-year term.

“Congratulations to Sean Gray and Mike Cooney on their re-election to the committee, the voters are very wise,” Di Croce said. “Thank you for your service.”

Lenape Regional High School District opens online survey for strategic planning input

The Lenape Regional High School District has moved into the next phase of crafting its new, five-year strategic plan.

Through Jan. 21, officials are inviting members of the LRHSD community to partake in an online survey that will help the district involve even more members of the community in the strategic planning process.
