In most cases, the mindset of the person making a clean break is never to return to the person, organization, or way of life they formerly lived.

Like the broken egg in the photo, a clean break is final. There is no going back or restoring what was. You can’t stuff the egg back in the shell. It’s a done deal!

But when it comes to making a clean break from a former course of life, it’s a lot more complicated than it sounds.
