Sugar Bush to host open house on March 19th and 20th during Maple Syrup Weekend
The Sugar Bush will be hosting an open house on March 19th and 20th between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. as a part of the Michigan Maple Syrup Association’s Maple Weekend. Visitors will be able to learn about several different parts of the maple syrup production including collection, filtering, reverse osmosis, evaporation, drumming, canning, and candy making.
Free sample of maple syrup, maple candy, maple snacks, and maple-flavored ice cream will be given out, and maple syrup will be available for purchase.
The Michigan Maple Syrup Association is sponsoring this event and encouraging member sugar bushes to be open for tours. Due to the variety of weather conditions, Michigan Maple Weekend activities in the northern Lower Peninsula will take place March 26–27 and April 2–3 in the Upper Peninsula. See http://www.mi-maplesyrup.com for more details or locally, call (989) 828–5415 for more information.
