As a young, small startup, our plan was to launch SALT by first making it easy to remember restaurants and share them with your friends. As we continued to grow, the SALT community has continuously asked us to provide more tools and information in hopes of making SALT the single source for dining out. That’s why we’re so excited to announce our latest endeavor, The Short List!

We know discovering great new places to check out is a big part of the fun of dining out and learning more about a city, so we wanted to see if SALT could help with that in our own unique way. Keeping community in mind and at the very center of everything we do, we thought creating a blog written by real SALTers would be the most authentic way for us to share great content with the broader SALT family. I guess you could say The Short List is suppose to be “by the people, for the people”!

We’ll be launching in our home base, New York City, first, though we hope to roll things out across the US and abroad as we fine tune things. We have a few SALTers in mind to help us, but if you’d like to contribute, let us know by emailing us at “feedback [at] trysalt [dot] com”. We plan to use the blog as a way for us learn how we can provide recommendations in way that’s truly great and original. If you have any feedback or suggestions along the way please let us know.

In closing, Rudd, myself and the entire team at SALT would like to thank two special people — Todd Shaw (@toddscottshaw on SALT) and Olivia Krawczyk (@olivethepeople). Without whom The Short List wouldn’t be possible. Our community is our number one priority at SALT, so it’s truly amazing when we find ways to work closely with any of you. #saltit
