  1. When making difficult/big decisions, you don’t want to miss or forget anything, right? You don’t want to feel guilty after you’ve made the decision or taken the leap. In such cases, pros/cons lists can help you avoid impulse decision-making and consider multiple factors.
  2. Pros/cons lists are useful for making complex decisions, e.g. moving, changing jobs. Use lists if you want to, but if they don’t give you certainty/clarity, you may need to use intuition.
  3. Pros/cons lists are sometimes overrated. They can keep you stuck. If deep down you know what to do, if deep down you’ve already made a decision that doesn’t agree with your list, flipping a coin may be more helpful in confirming what your gut tells you to do.

BUT ALWAYS — the choice is yours and yours alone.
