With 2025 around the corner, it’s time for some self-reflection — why do you procrastinate?

Forget the I’m-just-being-lazy or I-had-other-things-to-do excuses. Instead:

  • Explore/address the source of your resistance/fears
  • Do what needs to be done (or ditch it?)

5 potential reasons for procrastination:

  1. The nature of the task/project
  2. Physical exhaustion
  3. Low self-confidence
  4. Avoiding responsibility
  5. Hidden benefits (often unconscious)

Procrastination is a trap. The best way to get out of it is simple (not easy).

Start small. TODAY do something you’ve chosen to postpone until tomorrow/Monday.

Even better — can you do it NOW?

Sometimes the smaller/simpler, the better — big projects/deadlines can be your next step.

Today it can be about:

  • 3-Minute exercise routine
  • 11-Minute walk
  • Journaling for 7 minutes
  • 1 sugar-free coffee

What will you (not) do today?
