A Shout-Out to My Low-Maintenance Friends

I came across a quote the other day that really resonated with me:
Shout-out to low-maintenance friends, the ones you don’t talk to for months because you both are busy in life, but when you meet up, there’s nothing but love.
It made me think about the friendships that I have. I realized that all of my dearest and closest friends are extremely low-maintenance. And that’s exactly why I love them — they don’t cause drama and they don’t think that they own me and my time.
I neither have the time nor emotional resources to deal with people whose definition of what essentially makes a friendship substantially differs from mine.
