Apply the ‘So What?’ Test to Your Writing

Have you ever been reading a blog post and zoned out halfway through?
Well, that’s because the writer didn’t ask the most important question:
“So what?”
When it comes to writing, every sentence in your piece should either add value, create interest or move the reader forward.
If it doesn’t, delete it!
A simple way to tighten up your writing is to ask yourself “So what?” after each sentence you write.
If you can’t justify why it’s there, cut it!
Your writing will instantly become sharper, easier to read and more engaging.
