I lost 4 people in the last 2 weeks — two friends, one acquaintance, and then Halyna Hutchins, who was the best friend of a friend of mine.

I had to take long weekends and work shorter hours because of the grief I was experiencing. And I stayed away from Medium.

I remember in the summer of 2018, I pushed through a show I was producing when my aunt died of colon cancer in China.
