Bubblegum Dreams

I guess breakfast will be bubblegum today!

Here we are in the candy store once more,

Surrounded by pink, blue and more,

You can hear the bubbles popping as you walk

through this store,

And I hear myself shouting,

“Give me some more!”

What will it be next?

Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach or pear?

The one that blows the biggest,

If I dare!

I chew a strawberry dream,

Making large bubbles and large ‘POPS!

Then I woke up,

And I despair!

I still taste the strawberry cream,

As I remember my candy dream;

I guess breakfast will be,

Bubblegum today!
