We often look at change as a straight line. We start here and end there. But it is not that simple. Change is a shadowy and crooked path. The reason is simple. We are becoming something new. It is understandable if we do not immediately get it right.

Be patient when becoming someone you have never been before.

We need to have self-compassion. The key is not whether we are perfect, it is whether we are growing, progressing, and moving forward. We know the road will rise and fall, but we will learn. Even if your steps are small or hesitant, be thankful you are on the right path.
